Things have been CRAZY around here for a LONG time! So I thought it might be time to update for those who still read this!

**Well the most exciting news is that in about 8 weeks we will have a new baby boy to add to the Norton Family** Kinzie was not thrilled about being the only girl, but has realized that there are some benefits to being the only princess around...like having your own room...get pedicures with mom...so she has definitely warmed up to the idea:)

**We put our house on the market about two months ago and have had quite a few people look at it, but I think people are scared with the economy being crazy...but rates are at an ALL time low...so if anyone knows anyone who needs are cute little home...**

**Adam is still working at the Credit Union, but he now works in the Mortage Department**

**I am no longer in the classroom at ACA, but helping out in the office a couple days a week**

**The kids are doing great in school**

We are anxiously awaiting for our new little man to arrive, but want him to hang in there as long as possible!

I really don't have any other news or pictures, but I am posting some pictures of our house! Shelley and Teresa came and spent several days with me helping me stage my house to put it on the market! If you are ever in need of a house make-over or want to stage your house or need direction in decorating...these ladies are AMAZING!! Not to mention how proud they made me feel about the "junk" I had in my house! SO AWESOME!! Definitely call them up...they are so very talented!

Yesterday...was Blaze's first birthday! We celebrated with a family swim party! We swam and then had grilled hamburgers and cake! And of course, my camera ran out of battery(it wouldn't be a special event if this didn't happen)! I did get a few pictures! Once Blaze figured out that the gooey stuff between his fingers was actually yummy...there was no holding back! He made a GREAT mess and even got cake in Kinzie's hair!

Just a quick update...to let blog land know that my sister...Charla...is now engaged!! Jared (husband to be) asked her this morning in his apartment! Apparently, he is pretty smooth and very romantic! From what I understand (it was hard to get all of the details between the screams of excitement) Charla and Jared have breakfast every Tuesday morning at Starbucks...well when she went to pick him up this morning...he told her he was running late and to just come up to his apartment! Jared got up really early and with a buddy went to Starbucks and got the chairs, table, breakfast and coffee and set them up in his apartment...so when Charla walked in she saw the whole set up and the ring!!! AAWWW too sweet! They already have a date Dec. 19th 2009!! AWESOME!!

Okay...so I am super excited about this post...When Kinzie was born Charla and my mom bought her a little blue chair from OshKosh...so cute! She loved this little chair and it showed it...it was filfthy...so Saturday I decided that Blaze needed a little chair...why not K and J have one...anyways I took the little blue chair apart and make it a little red chair! I love doing this kind of stuff...doesn't he look so cute in is little red chair??!!:)

This year Kinzie, Jackson and I rode in the Longview Parade on the ACA float!! We had a GREAT time and even won The Grand Marshall's Award! For years I have been wanted ACA to have a float and Kendrah did an AMAZING job coordinating this event...just a few shots of the night...it was 49 degrees and I am glad I didn't bring Blazer...

This was the beginning of the Pararde everyone is ALL smiles and excited!!

Kinzie was a true trooper she waved and said "Merry Christmas" until her cheeks and arm was frozen!!

My children are the only ones that can sleep anywhere...any noise level...anytime...Jackson was exhausted!!!

4 month update at 5 months

Due to scheduling Blaze had his 4 month check-up closer to 5 months...Jackson also had his 4 year check-up...and Kinzie got her flu shot...shots all around means crying all around...what was I thinking...

Blaze is 17 pounds 4 ounces and is 26 1/2 inches long

He has gotten so BIG!! He is so much fun and very, very laid back!!! He still doesn't sleep through the night, but who needs sleep-right!!!

Okay so it has been two months since I have blogged...(I joined facebook and have been caught up reconnecting with people):) Tons of things have gone on these past few months...this post will be random and very unorganized...but hey it is an update...where to begin...J-man turned 4 on Oct. 8th...I will have to post pictures later because they are on a disposable camera...Blazer turned 4 months on Oct. 19th...crazy...pictures later...his unoffical stats are 15 pounds 12 ounces and 26 inches long...he doesn't have his check up until Nov...We went to two Fall Fest Sat. Oct. 18th...ACA's and Bramlette's...both were fun...Kinz and J-man dressed as pirates and were sooo cute...they even had their AARRRRR's down...Kinz won ACA's costume contest...both won at the cake walk...okay for some pictures...

These are some random photos...Blaze was sitting in his bumbo one night at dinner and Adam sat him in a chair...I thought he looked so cute...Enjoy and hopefully I'll be able to juggle facebook and blog better...:)

Why Does This Eye Keep Watering?

...because it's back to school time! Kinzie's first day of school was GREAT!! I fought a lump in my throat ALL DAY..made several calls to Adam about what I thought Kinzie was doing...and at 3:15 when I picked her up from school the flood gates opened...she SURVIVED her first day!! She looked so cute in her uniform...

The principal greeted everyone at the door and gave each student a welcome back pencil...I really think this was kinzie's favorite part!!! I know she has already been to school a week, but I am glad that I have waited on the blog...interesting things have happen this week...

*first day went like this...colored a puppy dog picture-ate lunch-went outside to play-rested-came home(pretty good)

*second day nothing out of the ordinary

*third day...closed finger in bathroom door had to go to nurse for ice pack...ate the cafeteria food and loved it

*fourth day...snuck fingernail polish to school in backpack...pulled it out during math class...note sent home(man I felt like I was the one in trouble)

*fifth day...GREAT DAY!! GOT 5 STICKERS FOR THE WEEK!!

Kinzie loves her school and her teacher...her teacher seems to be very patient and understanding...which is a good thing for all of Kinzie's shenanigans!!

Doctor-Doctor

Blaze is TWO MONTHS old!! It's hard to believe isn't only been two months!! Yesterday Blaze and Kinzie had Dr. appointments! Kinzie went first and did great! She and the Dr. made a pact(sp??) to eat healthier foods...meaning veggies(please help encourage her:)

Then it was on to Blaze..his stats..23 inches long...12 lb and 5 ozs...(he is 1 inch shorter than Jackson, but 1 inch longer than Kinzie and 1 lb lighter than Jackson and just a few oz lighter than Kinzie..when they were Blaze's age) Blaze got 3 shots and an oral Rotavirus vaccine..yes he cried..no I did not...but Kinzie did!! She is such a sweet spirit and a little fixer. She can't stand it when her "boys" are crying or upset! The boys are lucky to have her as a big sis!

Birthday Marathon-Take two

Last weekend-the birthday celebration continued! Kinzie decided this year that she wanted a slumber party birthday and after our wonderful time in Dallas we decided that we would try to recreate the libbylu experience!

The idea was for each girl to come dressed in their favorite outfit for a fashion show! Then after hair and make-up the show would begin!

Okay this post is dedicated to my beautiful girly girl Kinzie! Kinzie turned 6 on 8.8.08 - we happened to in Dallas for a wedding and decided to hang out with the Hoelzles'. We miss them so much and were so glad we got to see them! Jacob is such a sweet little friend to Kinzie! I love seeing them together--Okay now for some pictures...

FAMILY OF 5 UPDATE

Okay I have finally put Blaze down long enough to try update our blog!!:) Blaze is now 5 weeks old and just such a precious little baby! He is such an amazing addition to our family-not to mention his big sister and big brother are absolutely CRAZY about him!! I really don't have great pictures of him because my dinosaur of a camera is going through extinction (basically its not cooperating)!

Look at those chubby cheeks-just makes you want to eat 'em up!!

This is a rare occassion that Blaze has his eyes open and he is actually awake!

Here are my BOYS aren't they good-looking!:)

Blaze wanted to wake Kinzie up one morning! She was so surprised and excited. Kinzie is such a great big sister! I love her sweet and gentle spirit with her brothers!

Blaze is the spokes-cow for Chick-fil-A! One week in July Chick-fil-A had special customer appreciation week. If you went dressed as a cow you received a free meal ... so we dressed our little bull and off we went! It was great! Everyone thought Blaze was the cutest! Employees were taking pictures with their cell phones and complete strangers were asking us to wait around so their family members could see him! It was a fun party:) It was great -- it was FREE!!!

Adam and I went to the hospital around 11:00 and got some encouraging news! Blaze is doing great - his billi number is at 12 (up from 17) he is still a little jaundice but is looking much better! I got to actually hold him and feed him this time! YEAH!!! He has lost down to 6# 11oz so they started adding calories to his milk to pack on the pounds! We are hoping he will come home either this weekend or early next week! All of his nurses are amazed that he is still in the NICU they thought for sure he would have "graduated" to the intermediate by now!! Anyways, he may be in a big boy bassinet the next time we go! Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers! Blaze is a fighter and a possum! Well gotta go 3:30 feeding time is fast approaching! By the way Adam and I are at home with little J-man!

Okay I am sorry for the delay - these past few days have been a whirlwind!!! Full of all kinds of emotions! Don't worry I am at peace about the entire thing...... now on to what you have ALL been waiting for... INTRODUCING...

BENJAMIN "BLAZE" NORTON

Blaze was born at 37 weeks and his lungs were still a little underdeveloped! It also didn't help that he took his first breathe before he was delivered (causing amniotic fluid to fill his lungs)! He was working really hard to breathe...therefore he was sent to the NICU! He is doing great! His lungs are filling up and we have discovered that he is a feisty little guy-he is definitely living up to his name! He has fought hard to get better and his sweet nurses are amazed he kept fighting (they thought for sure he would eventually wear himself out)!!

Okay here are some pictures of his stay in the nursery... Kinzie and Jackson got to see him before he was sent to the NICU...

This is were Blaze has been hanging out the past few days...

He has made amazing progress - he still has to be on antibiotics for a few more days! We don't have a specific day he will be coming home - we are praying soon! He has lost down to 7 lbs almost 1 oz (tiny for a farrell/norton kid)!

I know that I probably didn't answer any of your questions and I/We would love too so please ask(we have some pretty fun stories to tell)! Okay if you ever read the Neals' blog-I love how Stacey posts funny things that her kiddos say! Well I thought I would give it a try....here goes!

I have to set the scene so it may not be that great!

We were celebrating Chris P.'s graduation on Saturday evening at McWhorter Park! Some of the party-goers were playing a game called Bacca(sp?) anyways it involves throwing hard crochet like balls in the air! Well Aubrey and Lolo had a couple that they were playing with and needless to say they thought it would be fun to throw them at each other! Well Aubrey ended up with a bloody gash across her eye!! We fixed her up and continued on with the party!

Me..."I hope Aubrey's eye will be okay!"

Adam..."I am glad we had our first aid kit!"

For those of you who have ever been excited about being an AUNT...then you will definitely appreciate this blog!

I AM AN AUNT!!! I haven't even gotten to meet my new neice, but I am thrilled and of course she is absolutely perfect!! My brother - Clayton and sis - in - law Amanda - had their first child on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at 3:57 pm! She was 8#1oz and 20 inches long and is BEAUTIFUL!!

This isn't the best quality picture - but you can still see how beautiful she is! Such tiny features! I almost forgot... her name is KAYCIN GRACE FARRELL! Thanks for sharing in my new found joy!!:)

ROCK CHALK - JAYHAWK KU!!

We love sports in our house, especially college BASKETBALL--check that KU basketball! Adam is a huge KU bball fan and I just kinda got hooked to cheering for them along the way! Tonight Memphis vs. Kansas for the National Championship!!!! Kinzie made signs - dressed in her cheerleading skirt and KU shirt - grabbed her pom-poms and prepared to cheer her heart out (for the team her daddy loves)! I'll admit I lost hope a few times, but as any GREAT team can and does - they found a way to win! Sorry Clayton maybe you should have painted your face!!

Towards the end of Spring Break - Kinzie lost her first tooth!! She was just soooooo excited! She wouldn't let anyone pull it - because it just had to fall out by itself!! It was kinda gross just hanging there, but noooo! Luckily it came out while she was brushing her teeth!

Okay - I know EVERYONE has been waiting to hear what we are having! Well we went to the Doctor Monday had the sonogram and doc visit!!
We are having a BOY!!
It is crazy to think that I had a feeling that it was a boy all along, but to actually hear the words "I see boy parts" just blew my mind! We are very, very, very excited. J-man is going to have a play mate and Kinz has come to grips with being the Princess of the Family! (Sorry to spoil your plans Lolo and Kinz, but hey we can still say that we are family)!:(

Praise God that everything looks great! He is 15 ounces and still very small! My blood pressure is still normal and things are fine! The 4-D wasn't pretty, but it was still cool to see him! He loves to kick and punch(look out J-man)! We also saw him open his mouth too cool!!

SUPER BOWL SUNDAY

OKAY so it's Saturday morning--everyone is just kicking back relaxing - watching a little BBall on TV - the kiddos are busy playing in their rooms...or so we thought...

It rained hard all night Friday and early Saturday morning! Kinzie and Jackson decided they wanted to take a trip! On their way to Kansas they had to stay in a hooo-teell(insert thick ET accent here)! Well at that hotel, naturally they had to take advantage of the swimming pool! After a LLLOOOOONNNNGGGG dip-they slept(still in their swimsuits) and got up the next day to visit Grandma and Grandpa Norton(still in their swimsuits)! They had a lovely visit and decided to come back home! The last they checked in they were headed to OKLAHOMA!!(dressed in normal clothes) What world travelers...and all by themselves!

Way over Due...

Okay so the past few monthes have been SUPER busy!! Let me just do a quick recap...

*December /Christmas was AWESOME everyone was in town-we had lots of presents, parties, injuries(poor Jackson) and gooooood times together!

**January was CRAZY as well--i thought things slowed down in the New Year! Kinzie had to go to the doctor (she's fine)

Jackson gave us a scare--he had a seizure one friday afternoon and had to be taken to the ER (Good Shepherd was very good to us)(POOR J-MAN!!)--He had an EEG scan done and everything was normal! Thank you all for praying for us during this time! God is AMAZING!!!!

THIS IS WHAT KINZIE AND I THINK OF DOCTORS AND HOSPITALS!!!

On a lighter note-We heard the baby's heart beat (160)for the first time in January! I am 19 1/2 weeks so on March 3rd we will be finding out what we are having!! We are excited for baby BLAZE'S arrival!!!

Okay - This year we decided to get our Christmas Trees early! Scott and Michele were in town for Thanksgiving so what better time to go! Well if you remember it rained that ENTIRE weekend! So after a while of deciding if it would even be worth going - we decided we would brave the elements! We arrived at the Christmas Farm around 4:00 and it was a scramble to get the perfect tree before DARK and the rain came BACK!! Thank goodness it was a success!

Okay, I know this is probably old news now but.... Adam and I are expecting our third child! YAY!! We are very excited! YAY! It took some convincing on Adam's part, but he is very keen on the idea of another kiddo! (Thank goodness because there's no turning back now). This baby has been an answer to a ton of prayers and thank you to those who have been praying for us! YAY! I am only about 91/2 weeks so I still HAVE A LONG way to go, but oh how time flies! I haven't had a sono yet or even heard the little fellow so I will definitely keep y'all posted!

Hi Ho the Dairy-O -- A Campin' We Will GO!!

This past weekend our small group went on a weekend camping trip! We originally were headed for Tyler State Park, but ended up at Lake Bob Sandlin. We a had the best time! The weather was very nice--a little cool in the morning--a little chiller at night--but just beautiful during the day!

This was our tent--just perfect for keeping warm on a crisp night!

We spent a couple of hours fishing on Saturday! Adam giving Kinzie and Jackson fishing lessons!
We took the kiddos bikes and all they wanted to do was ride them around and around the circle!

This camping trip was a lot of fun and I can hardly wait until we are able to go again! The company was good--the food was great--the showers were warm--the memories priceless!

Trunk or Treat

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween! This Trunk or Treat was very relaxing and laid back! Our small group joined another small group for the evening and did a fishing theme! The kiddos had a fun time fishing and getting tons of candy! Kinzie and Jackson decided to dress up as something different for Trunk or Treat--so they dug in their dress up clothes --- Snow White and A Cars Pitt Crew is what they came up with! I had a hard time keeping track of Kinzie with her black wig!!

On a lighter note--Adam did not win first prize for the Rootinist-Tootinist Chili this year! :( Oh well, sometimes you have to let others win!

We had a great time celebrating J-man's birthday! We had friends over and played in the backyard! Very laid back - good friends - good cake - good times!
Jackson loves "Cars" so we did a Cars theme party!

He was so excited about his cake. When it was time to get the cake out he followed me inside the house, all over the kitchen, back outside, to the table the entire time saying "that's my cake, that's my cake, that's my cake"!
Poor guy we cut the cake and made him open presents while everyone else had cake! Okay maybe he wasn't that bothered by it!

We had a great time! Thanks to all of friends who came and helped us celebrate Jackson turning 3! WE love you J-man and Happy Birthday!

JOHNNY APPLESEED

Adam came to my school dressed as Johnny Appleseed during September! He told "his" story to about 20 four year olds on Johnny Appleseed's Birthday! The teachers were really impressed-Adam has such a way with kiddos! The children loved it-he even got a few stamps of approvable-when 3 of my boys gave "Johnny" a hug! Adam came equipped with a color sheet and of course his favorite - apples!! So if any of you need a guest appearance of any kind-Adam is your man!

This is why I fell in love with-Mr. Man!

AROUND MAY 16, 2008 I WILL FINALLY-FINALLY PEOPLE--BE AN AUNT!!!!!!!!!! YAAAHHHOOOO!!

Clayton and Amanda are expecting their first baby, my first niece or nephew, Kinzie and Jackson's first cousin. I am so excited -finally more babies in the family!!
Anywho-sorry if you thought it would be more exciting news(like maybe I was pregnant), but it is definitely an answer to prayers!

Very Cool Days....Golden Rule Days....Back to School Days....

Yes, it's that time of the year again! Back to School!! I can't believe summer is over and the daily grind of learning is back in full swing! It started out a great morning.... new clothes...new school supplies....new backpacks...new lunches boxes...and new friends...

Kinzie in her classroom...She LOVES school...She has been waiting 100 years for Mrs. Brenda to be her teacher!!(Jackson is not so thrilled) Jackson in his classroom..he doesn't want to be there. He did finally let me go and had a wonderful day!!

The Kids and I attend ACA and we love every minute and every day we are there! I am teaching 15 four year olds this year and just let me say "I LOVE IT!!!!" So far this has been the best year at ACA!! My little class is hilarious and they think I'm cool!! What more could you ask for!!

The kids' teachers are wonderful Christian women who I have grown to love and admire. They have a special place in their hearts for children and my children love them dearly!

Yes can you believe that Kinzie is 5!!! It really does seem like yesterday that Adam and I were bringing her home from the hospital! Time sure does fly!! We celebrated this momentous occasion with a party at Pump It Up(it's really fun if you say that 3x's like your an announcer-just ask Chris P.). We decided that we would invite Kinzie's preschool class and have a little reunion. I think there were over 40 kids and adults there! It was a blast! Here are some pictures of friends.... Kinzie's first love Jacob and family got to come. It was great to see them again.
I think Jackson had the most fun of all of us. He slid down the inflatable slide at least 100x's.

Around the World and Back!!

We had a wonderful time traveling to Arizona a couple of weeks ago! Our days were filled with hiking, hopping rocks, rainbow trout fishing, deer feeding, slide rock swimming, and being sprayed by a skunk(well not us personally, but rather the cabin we were staying in)!!! Fun, fun, fun!! Here are a few pictures of our trip!--I forgot my camera charger(I know Ricky-I have issues with my camera)so these are the few pictures we squeezed in before it died!

We stayed the night in New Mexico and got up early to ride the TramWay before heading to Arizona

In Arizona we stayed in Oak Canyon and on our way down to the Canyon it was raining, as we traveled to the cabin it stopped and a double rainbow appeared.
This is the best shot we could get of us and the entire Cabin! It was nice and cool!
We spend one day at a Deer farm and fed the deer! It was really fun! Jackson looks like he is scared of the deer, but he really treated them like they were his dog Mollie

Vacation is over and now it is back to work!!
